We made our own blank t-shirts, here’s why...

I remember in early 2020 I was searching for decent blanks and but I just couldn’t find the right fit or durability. Eventually, I came across [redacted] and they were looking legit, proper fit, decent price, made in Portugal etc. So I took a leap and grabbed 14 for samples and they really were serious blanks.

Things were going great until late 2020 when the source had mad delays which then put pressure on the business as we can't turn around drops as fast as we’d like to.

2021 comes, and we knew we had to change so we tried to make our own blank tees but no attempt ever lived up to our expectations. As I had in my mind that for us to switch up on the original plug the new blanks had to either be the same quality or better. There was no way I could go backwards.

After multiple manufacturers, it only made sense to go back to the original plug. Too much time and money were being wasted. And at the same time, our customers are already accustomed to the fit and quality so it made sense. You can read all about the ins and outs here.

Fast forward to April 2022, our supply chain is much more solid and we have reliable manufacturers, so things are looking great for everything other than our t-shirts. I tried to make another order with our OG plug for the upcoming summer JCSL tees but they still have delays, I ordered with time but still, but they disappointed us with more delays and held our capital for a month without shipping the order, to the point we had to contact our bank for a refund. This forced me to shout a trusted manufacturer to make me 2 samples and they were done in 4 days.

So now we got a new t-shirt manufacturer, all cut and sewn. The new blanks are pretty much identical to our old t-shirts in terms of fit but the feel is different. Like, the material is brazyyyyy, from 215GSM & 235GSM to 260GSM, basically, the t-shirts are a bit heavier but they’re very soft and won't pill (the bobble tings after you wash something).

What does this mean exactly?
No more delays for tees.
